The first one is of a beautiful, amazing woman who I met in Maryland about 5 years ago. She had married the man of her dreams in the LDS temple when she was 21 years old. Two years later he died of cancer. Now, she is over 40 and she hasn’t been able to find another LDS man to marry her because no upstanding LDS man would want to devote his life to a woman who is sealed to another man and who can never be sealed to him, therefore she will probably never marry and will be alone all her life.
Couple number two. This LDS man is in his early 60’s. His 55 year old wife died about 3 years ago after 30 years of marriage. Shortly after her death he remarried a gorgeous 32-year old LDS woman whom he promptly took to the temple and sealed her to him. He looks like he is very much in love with her. However, now his 1st wife gets to look forward to accepting this woman who is a complete stranger to her, into her marriage in heaven.
Am I the only one who is disturbed by this picture? It seems like women lose out in both situations and only men benefit.
What do you think?
